[Comments: 2] 1:55 AM - projects-that-I-care-about
I've taken some time recently and built a small web site for SimBot, my open sourced IRC bot that no one uses yet. I have it listed now on Freshmeat.net, and of course it's been on SourceForge.net for a while. I'm hoping that more people will express interest in it, pre-release, so we can get more testing done, and maybe some contributors to help add and fix things that are still lacking. :)
I also set up SimBot so that CVS code commits are broadcast in my IRC channel and on #commits on Freenode for extra exposure, in case anyone cares. These announcements also appear here.
In addition, Gaim is moving toward 0.80. I've been so busy with work, and looking for work, I haven't had much time to patch for Gaim, or work on my extended prefs plugin, which has unfortunately been relegated to a "text zoom" plugin until I get more time. The plan for this coming release is to get a makefile in place so people don't have to build it in the source tree. I usually do these things with 5 hours of release, but we'll see what happens.
Also worth noting is that I have a tapelog promised to WCKN television at Clarkson. I need to get that thing together as soon as I can, and I really want to devote much of August to that project so they don't have to put up with the crap that I left behind. I will keep my commitment to have something better up by the start of the Fall 2004 semester, I swear!
Then, I'll get a full-time job, and be too busy to ever think again. :)
